<aside> 🚨 The goal is to get the squad’s day-to-day project management out of GitHub Projects, and into Linear. Migrate the minimum issues you need to do this. The much more important task of the kickoff is to define Indicators and Objectives for your squad’s nests. If push comes to shove, do that Indicator and Objective work at the expense of switching day-to-day management to Linear before the end of the kickoff.

How does this affect Opsbugs?

Because folks outside EPD generate Opsbugs, these will stay in GitHub Projects until EPD Leadership has onboarded TS/CS into Linear. That’s estimated to be by the end of February. Until then, the process will be:

  1. Opsbugs are created in GitHub, same as today
  2. EM on-call triages, a bit different from today
  3. The first engineer who joins the opsbug investigation manually creates a Linear issue to track the work
